Composer and DJ Gabriel Prokofiev premieres his show Tradition on a Dancefloor this Sunday at L'Auditori de Barcelona, a performance that merges classical music with electronic beats.

The artist, grandson of the legendary Sergei Prokofiev, performs alongside the Morphosis Ensamble. The project aims to dissolve genre boundaries by combining acoustic instruments with synthesizers and jazz influences, allowing classical and electronic elements to interact dynamically.

"I think it would be a mistake to remix my grandfather's music; it would be the end of my career."

Prokofiev revealed that he initially used the name Olegovich to avoid the weight of his family name. While he now embraces his heritage, he remains firm on not touching his grandfather's original scores to ensure his own artistic independence.
