The Grec Festival in Barcelona celebrates its fiftieth anniversary with a special edition primarily taking place in Montjuïc, offering a hundred shows spanning various artistic disciplines.

This commemorative edition of the Grec is characterized by the return of renowned figures from the festival, while maintaining its commitment to discovering new talents. The program includes international creators from Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia, who will visit the Catalan capital for the first time.
Among the highlighted proposals, the festival will open with Bertolt Brecht's The Threepenny Opera, a pivotal work of the 20th century, featuring a new translation by Marc Rosich and directed by Marta Pazos. This production, which can be seen at the Teatre Grec from June 29 to July 1, is a co-production with the Teatre Lliure, also celebrating its fiftieth anniversary.
