Izan González leaves Europa after Cornellà unilaterally terminates loan agreement

Midfielder Izan González was forced to leave CE Europa in Gràcia this Monday, January 26, after his owning club, Cornellà, unilaterally terminated the loan agreement.

The 'escapulat' club, CE Europa, announced the player's departure without specifying the reason for the termination. However, Izan González's immediate future could be linked to Nou Sardenya and Can Dragó until next June.
The player's explicit wish was to complete the season on loan with the Gràcia team, as he publicly stated. Nevertheless, his new destination will play a decisive role in his plans.
All reports suggest that Girona FC is the club that has secured the services of Izan González, having reached an agreement with Cornellà. The Girona club reportedly moved ahead of major rivals such as Espanyol and FC Barcelona, who intended to incorporate the player into their respective reserve teams.
One of the options being considered is for the midfielder to finish the season in Barcelona (possibly on a new loan or with the Cornellà reserve team) and then, starting in June, attempt to secure a place in the Girona squad.
