The plan involves the integration of five existing centers: Patufet, Garabatos, Estel Blau, Nova Fortuny, and Gua Gua. These facilities, currently managed by non-profit cooperatives, will now become part of the municipal system to address the city's growing educational needs.

The local government confirmed that public fees will remain unchanged and the I2 level will continue to be free of charge. Despite this increase of 370 places, the city still faces a waiting list of over 750 children as of September 2025.
The municipal agreement was supported by PSC and ERC-EUiA. Meanwhile, the council is also moving forward with plans for a new nursery school in the Sant Josep neighborhood, located on Ventura Gassol Avenue.
