The Tecla Sala Library in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat hosted the 9th edition of the Spanish Scrabble tournament this Saturday, gathering both novice and professional players.

The day was divided into six intense rounds of play, with three sessions in the morning and three more during the afternoon, maintaining the tradition of an event open to all types of contestants, from novices to the most experienced players.

"The objective of this game is to make words with seven letters that you pick at random."

Andreu Pont · Professional Scrabble Player
The competition was jointly organized by the L’Hospitalet de Llobregat Scrabble Club (known as L’Hescarràs), the Association of Scrabble Players (AJS), and the L’Hospitalet City Council. This competition extends beyond the local area, allowing participants from anywhere in Spain.

"I have been playing since I was eleven years old. I like it because it makes me think about the words I have to place, the strategies, and above all, it makes me feel present."

Sofia Prieto · Novice Player
Following this Spanish edition, the L’Hospitalet Scrabble Club is already preparing for its next event, as next week it will participate in the Catalan Scrabble competition organized by the club in Sant Andreu del Palomar.
