The incident occurred on Manuel Fernández Márquez street, when the Barcelona Local Police (Guàrdia Urbana) alerted the Mossos d'Esquadra around 8:45 PM about an injured person. Several patrols were dispatched to the scene and confirmed the man had sustained stab wounds.
Officers from the Local Police began resuscitation efforts until the arrival of medical services. Emergency Medical System (SEM) personnel continued the resuscitation attempts, but the injured man ultimately died at the scene.
The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of the Mossos has taken charge of the investigation to clarify the circumstances of this violent death.
