Nil Cadevall Smashes Spanish 50m Breaststroke Record

Barcelona swimmer Nil Cadevall has broken the Spanish record in the 50-meter breaststroke during the third day of the Spanish Open held in Palma de Mallorca.

With a time of 27.30 seconds, Cadevall, representing CN Sant Andreu, surpassed the previous record by 18 hundredths of a second. This new personal best has allowed him to achieve the required qualifying standard for the European Championships taking place in Paris.
Born on July 19, 2006, the Sant Andreu swimmer has made history in Spanish swimming at just nineteen years old. His European qualifying mark was achieved by a narrow margin of four hundredths, setting Paris as his next major goal.
