The educational community of the Joan Llongueras School and the Llibertat Institute School, located in the Montigalà neighborhood (Badalona), has warned about the sinking of a section of the adjacent playground floor, inaugurated just one year ago. This situation poses a significant danger to the children who use the space daily.
The play area, located next to the Puigfred Avenue, is part of a broader project that created a 3,000 square meter esplanade, including a 500 square meter children's play area. The project was funded by the Badalona City Council with an investment close to 300,000 euros.
A part of the park, especially the sand area, shows numerous holes and ground subsidences, which represents a risk for the children playing there.
According to explanations from families and teachers, the damage is concentrated in the sand area, where the subsidences and holes are visible. These defects affect the use of the park both during and outside school hours.
Given this situation, representatives of the educational community demand urgent action to repair the damage and ensure user safety. They also request a comprehensive review of the construction work and its maintenance, considering that it is a newly built space.
