The Public Prosecutor is seeking a 24-year prison sentence for a man accused of sexually assaulting and corrupting a 16-year-old minor under DGAIA guardianship in Barcelona.

The trial is scheduled for next Thursday at the Barcelona Court. According to the indictment, the events occurred between March and April 2024, when the defendant contacted the victim, who was residing at the CODA 1 reception center, through his mobile phone.
Prosecutors allege the man exploited the minor's drug addiction by providing substances such as MDMA and cocaine in exchange for sexual acts. A police raid in August 2024 at the suspect's home led to the seizure of narcotics and precision scales, resulting in his immediate detention.

"The defendant was fully aware of the victim's minority and special situation of vulnerability."
