The Les Tres Torres neighborhood in Barcelona has been experiencing frequent power outages since last October, leaving several streets in total darkness during the night.

The issues in Les Tres Torres are part of a wider problem affecting various districts in Barcelona, including Sant Andreu and El Raval. Political groups ERC and Vox have highlighted that the most severe case occurred in Prosperitat following a transformer fire in September 2025.

"It happens once a week, sometimes two days. The streets are in the dark all night."

While utility company Endesa claims the issue lies with the municipal street lighting system, the Barcelona City Council stated they have no record of an increase in electrical incidents in the area.
