On Monday, a helicopter airlifted scaffolding and construction equipment to the castle's highest point. This method was chosen due to the difficult road access for trucks, ensuring a faster and more efficient start to the structural consolidation of the medieval site.
The 2.9 million euro investment is part of a national program to boost the competitiveness of historical heritage for tourism. The project is supervised by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Diputació de Barcelona to ensure the protection of the archaeological site.

Eramprunyà Castle is a National Cultural Interest Asset. Originally built in the 9th century as a border fortress, the current ruins date back to the 14th and 15th centuries. The municipality acquired the property in 2007 to guarantee its conservation and public use.
