The mobilization began early in the morning with intermittent roadblocks at the city's main entrances, particularly on the Ronda de Dalt. Later, a large crowd gathered at Urquinaona Square to march down Via Laietana towards Sant Jaume Square. According to the Guàrdia Urbana, 8,000 people attended, while organizers estimated 25,000 participants.

Strike turnout figures vary significantly. While the Generalitat reported a 7.05% participation rate in the Barcelonès and Baix Llobregat regions, the organizing unions —USTEC, Professors de Secundària, CGT, and Intersindical— claimed a 65% turnout. Protesters argue the current deal only represents a quarter of the workforce.
Protests are set to continue throughout the week, culminating on Friday with a general strike and a demonstration in front of the Parliament of Catalonia to demand an education budget equal to 6% of GDP.
