The Comissió de Festes de la Barceloneta organizes its traditional Carnavalada on Sunday, February 22, at 11 am, filling the Ciutat Vella neighborhood with troupes and batucada rhythms.

The Carnavalada is one of the last Carnival parades held in Barcelona, maintaining the tradition of celebrating the costume party one week after the official city dates. This deeply rooted event in the Barceloneta neighborhood returns on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
The procession, organized by the Comissió de Festes de la Barceloneta, will start at 11 am on Pepe Rubianes street, near the Marítim-Oriol Bohigas promenade, a key starting point in the Ciutat Vella district.
The route will continue along Pepe Rubianes street, Miquel de Pedrola i Alegre street, Poeta Boscà square, and the streets of Escuder, Sant Miquel, Ginebra, the Salvat Papasseit promenade, and Andrea Dòria street.
The parade, featuring dozens of troupes and batucada groups, will conclude back at Poeta Boscà square, where the traditional costume contest will take place, marking the end of the festivities.
