The series 'Ravalejar' premieres at Berlinale ahead of HBO Max release

Directors Pol Rodríguez and Isaki Lacuesta presented the first episodes of Ravalejar at the Berlinale this February 17, 2026, ahead of its HBO Max debut in May.

The series, featured in the Special Series section, stars Enric Auquer Sardà and Maria Rodríguez Soto. Set in Barcelona, the plot follows the struggle of a local restaurant, Can Mosques, against an investment fund, highlighting the gentrification of the Raval district.
Filmed primarily in Catalan, the production also includes Arabic, Urdu, Spanish, and English, reflecting the multicultural reality of the area. The project is a collaboration between Arcadia, 3Cat, and HBO Max.
