Three of the six public libraries in Badalona, including Xavier Soto and Sant Roc, remain closed this Monday due to persistent failures in the heating system.

Despite the moderation of temperatures recorded since last week, three public libraries in Badalona continue to be out of service this Monday, January 12. This figure represents half of the city's six facilities, causing concern among regular users.
The affected centers are the Xavier Soto library, located in the Llefià neighborhood, and the Sant Roc library. Added to these is Can Casacuberta, which has been closed to the public for some time and still lacks a confirmed reopening date from the City Council.
The closure of the Sant Roc and Xavier Soto libraries is due to maintenance problems with the heating system. This incident is recurrent, as the same facilities had to close temporarily last summer due to high indoor temperatures caused by air conditioning failures.
The situation, occurring in a context of still cold temperatures, has reopened the debate regarding the state of maintenance of municipal facilities. The closure severely affects users, especially students and families who rely on these spaces for studying or activities.
