A 46-year-old woman died this Friday in Barcelona after being critically injured by a collapsing roof during the peak of Storm Nils on Thursday.

The victim was treated at Vall d'Hebron Hospital but succumbed to her injuries. The storm, described by meteorologists as the most severe in 20 years, forced the closure of schools and universities across Catalonia as wind speeds reached 105 km/h in the city center.
Other serious incidents include a 22-year-old volunteer injured by a falling tree in Sant Boi de Llobregat and 101 flight cancellations at El Prat Airport. Authorities reported over 80 minor injuries and significant damage to urban infrastructure.
