A woman was hit by a train this Monday at noon at the Tres Torres station of the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC) in Barcelona after accidentally falling onto the tracks.

The victim was evacuated alive by the Firefighters, although she is in serious condition. The Medical Emergency System (SEM) activated three ambulances to assist her at the scene, and she was later transferred to the Hospital Clínic.
The incident took place around 12:30 PM and forced the suspension of train circulation on the FGC L6 line.
Although service was restored half an hour later, trains on the Vallès Line continued to run with altered frequency throughout the afternoon. The affected section was between the Plaça de Catalunya and Sant Cugat del Vallès stations.
