Mossos renew appeal to locate Younis, missing in Gràcia for over two months

The 22-year-old was last seen on October 13, and police warn that he may be disoriented and requires medication.

The Mossos d’Esquadra have renewed the search for Younis, a 22-year-old man who disappeared on October 13 in the Vila de Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona and requires urgent medication.

The Catalan police issued a new appeal via the social network X on December 18, asking for public assistance to locate the young man, as more than two months have passed since his disappearance.

According to the description provided, Younis is 1.80 meters tall, has a slim build, and dark, curly hair. When last seen, he was wearing long denim trousers, a dark denim jacket, and sneakers.
This disappearance occurs amidst a complex reality in the Catalan capital. Last year, 719 disappearances were reported in Barcelona, an average of two per day, representing 20% of the total 3,785 cases registered across Catalonia.
Data from the Mossos d’Esquadra indicates that 98% of disappearances are resolved, with half of the cases closed within the first three days and 67% during the first week. 30% of cases required cross-departmental treatment involving various actors to support the affected families.
