The President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, has started mobilization and continues to regain strength at the Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, the Government reported this Wednesday.

The medical team reported that the head of the Government is "evolving favorably" and has begun to move, marking an important step in his recovery process. This health status update was made public through an official statement released on the afternoon of January 21.

He has continued to regain strength and has initiated mobilization, a positive sign of the treatment's evolution.

Illa is currently receiving antibiotic treatment to combat pubic osteomyelitis, a bone infection caused by bacteria. Doctors emphasized that the President is strictly following the prescribed medical regimen.
According to initial forecasts, the President will need to complete his hospital treatment for approximately two more weeks. Subsequently, the medical team will decide whether his recovery can continue from his home, depending on how the infection evolves.
