The crime took place at the couple's home in Barcelonès. The perpetrator tied the victim's hands behind his back, leaving him "completely immobilized" under the false pretense of a sexual dynamic, according to the prosecutor's indictment.
“"Which increased his suffering in a totally gratuitous and unnecessary way to cause his death."
Once immobilized, the convicted woman inflicted 118 stab wounds on the man while he was still alive. The Prosecution considered the attack "completely unexpected," preventing the victim from exercising "any kind of effective defense."
The agreement was finalized ahead of the trial scheduled for this Wednesday at the Audiència de Barcelona. Although the Prosecution initially sought 25 years, the accused's confession allowed the sentence reduction to 20 years and one day, plus five years of subsequent supervised release.
