The production, which has already been recognized with the Delfí Colomé 2023 Award and selected for the Obrador d’Arrel at the Fira Mediterrània de Manresa 2024, is considered one of the highlights of the theater's dance season.
Four performers, three of whom trained at Esbart Maragall, take the stage to create a dialogue between the traditional body and the contemporary and digital. The goal is to reclaim traditional Catalan practices as a space for freedom and deep connection for the expression of dissident identity.
“"It is a love song to traditional practices as spaces of emancipation."
The direction and performance of the work fall to Andrea Jiménez – Ancorae, with Pere Seda, founder of L’Esbord in 2022, leading the creative team. The company, resident at Fabra i Coats, has premiered three productions in just three years: L’Hereu Riera, AUTOODI, and Folk as Queer.
