The Bagà City Council and Veolia have collaborated on a campaign to locate and repair leaks in the municipality's drinking water network, thereby improving service efficiency.

The initiative, developed during May and June, has analyzed almost the entire twelve kilometers of the supply network in the old town and the Terradelles neighborhood. Seven incidents were detected thanks to the deployment of nearly fifty acoustic devices equipped with advanced technology to monitor noise and vibrations.
The repair of the detected leaks was carried out by the municipal brigade. This action follows up on the first phase last year, funded with own resources, and is part of the municipal program for the maintenance and improvement of the water network.
The Councilor for Municipal Services, Pablo Samper, highlighted the importance of conserving water as a scarce resource and the need for continuous improvements to ensure service quality.
For his part, the head of Veolia distribution in the Pyrenees, David González, emphasized that early detection with advanced technologies allows for the precise identification of non-visible incidents, improving the efficiency and sustainability of water resources.
