Puig-reig resident Francisqueta Dolla celebrates her 90th birthday this March, standing as a symbol of historical memory and community spirit in the Berguedà region.

Born in 1936 at the start of the Spanish Civil War, Dolla began working at the Viladomiu Nou factory at age 14. Her life story mirrors the evolution of the local industrial colonies, where she worked as a butcher and fishmonger.

"Life was very different back then: we had to go wash clothes in the stream!"
