The Narradones project, promoted by Isabel Palà (from Manresa) and Eva Ferrer (from Súria), is born with the aim of empowering and increasing the visibility of women dedicated to storytelling in the Bages and Berguedà regions. This initiative seeks to create a solid network between writers and illustrators, acknowledging the previous lack of connection among them.
“"We are setting up a meeting space to try to generate more stories."
The official presentation of Narradones will take place this Sunday, with a morning session open to the public (10 am to 1 pm) at the Llibreria La Tempesta in Balsareny. The central event will be a panel discussion moderated by Ferrer and Palà, featuring the writer Imma Cortina, the illustrator Cristina Zafra, and the editors Dolors Pardo (from Parcir Edicions) and Natàlia Virgili (from Biennal Edicions), author of the book La música de la Blau.
Admission to the event is free, operating under a reverse box office system, where attendees contribute what they deem appropriate to support future activities. The promoters hope that the success of the initial meeting will be the creation of synergies, allowing, for example, a writer to find an illustrator for her project, and thus continue meeting beyond technology.
