Skier Gina Ballús, from Gironella, achieved a remarkable second place at the Pitarroy Trophy in alpine skiing, held this weekend at the Aramón-Cerler resort in Aragon.

Representing CANM Cerdanya, she displayed an outstanding performance in the U12 category, finishing just 9 hundredths of a second behind the winner. The event, part of the Audi Quattro Cup circuit, gathered over 260 participants from across the country, establishing Ballús as a top prospect in youth skiing.
The women's podium was led by Celia Mata from Madrid, closely followed by the Berguedà-born skier, with Martina Manent taking third place. This competition focuses on promoting skiing among young athletes aged 8 to 12.
This year's Audi Quattro Cup calendar has already visited venues such as Baqueira Beret, La Molina, and Aragon. Following this fourth event, the circuit will move to Castile and León on March 14 and conclude in Sierra Nevada during the first weekend of April.
