The emergency call was received shortly before noon after witnesses unsuccessfully tried to put out the flames. The fire started in the Castell area, located before the Vilaformiu equestrian center.

Three fire crews worked on the scene to contain the blaze, which affected bushes and undergrowth. The situation was reported as stabilized shortly after 1:00 PM, approximately one hour after the intervention began.
