The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 34-year-old woman on Tuesday in Gironella for allegedly stealing a handbag in Berga and using the victim's credit cards to withdraw cash.

The incident took place at a supermarket parking lot in Berga. The thief used a distraction technique, telling the driver that an object had fallen from her car. While the victim checked the ground, the suspect grabbed the purse from the passenger seat.
Police officers located the suspect shortly after in Gironella as she was leaving a bank. She was found in possession of the stolen cards and 800 euros in cash. She faces charges of theft and fraud at the Berga court.
