The primary objective is to restore the tower and convert it into a new space for historical and cultural dissemination within the municipality.
The intervention involves a comprehensive architectural restoration designed to consolidate the original structure, repair deteriorated elements, and ensure the preservation of its historical values. Traditional materials and construction techniques will be respected to maintain the tower's identity. Additionally, improvements in accessibility and safety will be implemented to adapt the space for future uses.
“"The recovery of the Prison Tower will contribute to strengthening Bellver's cultural appeal, enhancing knowledge of its history, and generating new cultural activity opportunities in the region."
The project has a budget of 277,000 euros and includes structural consolidation, environmental improvements, and access adaptation. The Prison Tower, an ancient Gothic tower from the 13th century declared a National Heritage Site, is part of an itinerary detailing the origins and historical development of the town. The works are expected to conclude by the end of the year.
