Found in the attic of the Cal Subirana farmhouse, the collection features 24 parchments, the oldest dating back to the 14th century. These records provide a detailed look into the lives of a prominent lineage of landowners who played a key role in the region's history.
“"The relevance of this fund goes far beyond the Subirana family. It is a clear example of how large family estates were managed in Cerdanya."
The archive allows for a genealogical study of eight generations, starting with Jaume Subirana around 1630. The family held properties in Das, Montellà, Puigcerdà, and Alp, and included notable professionals such as doctors and lawyers.
