The Cerdanya County Council reported on February 27 that its headquarters in Puigcerdà was vandalized with graffiti accusing the institution of being responsible for the eviction of four families.

The graffiti specifically mentioned an eviction process on Rabadans Street. In response, the council issued a statement clarifying that the eviction is a court-ordered criminal procedure, and the local administration has no legal power to halt its execution.

"It is not a decision of the County Council, nor do we have the capacity to stop its execution."

The council emphasized that Social Services have been supporting the affected families by providing guidance and processing available aid. Authorities will use security camera footage to identify those responsible for damaging the protected public building.
