Historian Gerard Cunill Costa presented a lecture on February 27th at the Cerdanya County Archive in Puigcerdà, focusing on the structural synthesis of the Sant Domènec convent.

The talk, titled The convent complex of Sant Domènec de Puigcerdà: the Gothic church and contemporary restorations, was part of the local history series Explica'm una història. Cunill, who directs the Llívia Museum, detailed the building's resilience through centuries of change.
Key findings shared included evidence that the 1428 Candelera earthquake did not fully destroy the temple, contrary to long-held beliefs. The historian also discussed the Spanish Civil War fire and the subsequent post-war reconstruction that restored the building's original Gothic appearance.
The event concluded on February 28th with a guided tour of the site, highlighting elements such as the mural paintings and the main door, which was salvaged from the destroyed Santa Maria church.
