The wind and snow storm continues to affect Cerdanya and other areas of the Catalan Pyrenees this Monday, March 30, 2026, with active alerts and traffic restrictions on several mountain roads.

Despite a slight decrease in intensity, the meteorological storm continues to cause significant incidents in various regions. In Catalonia, Meteocat has issued yellow and orange danger warnings for wind in the Pyrenees, the Terres de l’Ebre, the Camp de Tarragona, Ponent, and the Empordà, with gusts that could exceed 90 km/h. Additionally, a yellow alert for snowfall remains in effect in the Vall d’Aran, Pallars Sobirà, and Alta Ribagorça.
In neighboring Andorra, the Meteorological Service maintains a yellow alert for wind. Mobility has slightly improved, but the use of snow chains is still mandatory for driving on sections such as from Tarter to Pas de la Casa, from Serrat to Ordino, and from Pal to the Arinsal – Pal cable car. Access to Port de Cabús and Pimorent remains closed. Snow chains are also required to access the Envalira tunnel from Alta Cerdanya.
Temperatures in Andorra will be cold, although slightly milder than yesterday. In higher areas, wind gusts could reach 90 km/h, and snow is expected to reappear above 1,700 meters during the afternoon. Several fronts, driven by an intense northern flow, will bring abundant cloudiness to the north of the country, with light snowfall forecast for the afternoon.
Meanwhile, in the Balearic Islands, Menorca remains cut off by sea for the second consecutive day due to strong waves. The ports of Maó and Ciutadella remain closed. AEMET has issued an orange alert for wind gusts of 80 km/h and waves up to twelve meters until 2:00 PM, when it is expected to be downgraded to a yellow level. In Mallorca, Ibiza, and Formentera, yellow alerts are maintained until 4:00 PM, with winds of 60 km/h and waves of 3 to 4 meters.
Finally, in the Valencian Community, AEMET maintains a yellow alert in the northern third for winds of 80 to 90 km/h. This episode will last until Friday, although its intensity will gradually decrease. Inland areas of the Valencian Community recorded very low temperatures and frosts last night.
