The meeting between the council and the Associació Festa del Trepat took place last Thursday, January 29, to address the continuity of the event, which celebrates 15 years this year. The entity, which has organized the last ten editions, stated that it was at a point of inflection without clear names to guarantee the organization for the coming year.
Since its creation, the association has been one of the most active and relevant entities in Barberà de la Conca, consolidating the Festa del Trepat as an emblematic event. Nevertheless, the current board expressed the need to temporarily pause to renew energy and strength, with the aim of returning to lead the festival in 2027.

The organization of the 2026 edition will be led by the Culture Councillor, Mariona Miró, with the support of the other councillors and the current board of the association. Mayor Marc Rovira concluded that, although they are aware that the bar is set very high, they hope to match the level of the entity to keep this tradition alive.
