112 Calls in Conca: 22.7% Increase in One Year

The demand for the 112 emergency number in Conca de Barberà has grown by 22.7% during the first six months of 2026, with 3,406 calls registered, 630 more than the previous year.

Between January and June 2026, Conca de Barberà recorded 3,406 calls to the 112 emergency number, representing an increase of 630 communications (22.7%) compared to the same period in 2025, when 2,776 were logged. The rise is also reflected in the number of managed incidents, which went from 2,129 in 2025 to 2,488 this year, a 16.9% increase.
Traffic remains the primary reason for contact, with 1,072 calls related to mobility and circulation, a 19.8% increase from the 895 in 2025. This category accounts for almost one in three calls. Healthcare assistance ranks second with 846 communications (a 13.9% increase), followed by security, which rose by 24.4% (from 581 to 723 calls).
Alerts related to fires show a significant increase, rising from 215 to 305 calls (a 41.9% increase). Communications for other incidents (from 151 to 199) and accidents (from 37 to 57) also grew. Conversely, calls for civility remain stable (127 versus 123).
Regarding incidents, traffic has surpassed healthcare assistance as the main category in the region. Traffic incidents climbed to 774 cases (a 23.1% increase), while healthcare incidents rose to 696 (a 5.9% increase). Security ranks third with 549 incidents.
Montblanc concentrates the highest volume of calls (1,285, a 14.7% increase) and incidents (962) in the region. In the comarca's capital, healthcare assistance has overtaken traffic as the primary reason for calls in 2026. In L'Espluga de Francolí, calls increased by 15.8% (513), driven by security. Sarral recorded the most intense rise in calls (up 73.5% to 255), mainly due to security and fires.
In the incident count, smaller municipalities like Pira (with a 161.3% increase) and Solivella (which nearly doubled its cases) stand out percentage-wise. However, Montblanc remains the municipality with the most incidents (962). The four largest municipalities account for 68% of the total regional incidents.
