A local resident, Marc López, has launched a campaign to bring back the 'castells' (human towers) tradition to l'Espluga de Francolí, a cultural practice lost in the town since the early 20th century.

The initiative aims to recover the spirit of the Xiquets de les Torres, a group active in 1893. The new team, Xiquets de l'Espluga, would wear violet shirts, a color deeply connected to the local Trepat grape variety and traditional heritage.

"This must be a collective project where everyone can contribute their ideas."

With over 50 people already expressing interest through an online survey, the next stage involves holding a public assembly to formalize the group and begin training in the Conca de Barberà region.
