L'Espluga de Francolí Announces 14th Font Baixa Rapsodes Contest

The Casal de l'Espluga de Francolí has officially opened the call for the 14th edition of the Font Baixa Rapsodes Contest, scheduled for Sunday, April 26, 2026.

The event will be held at the Folch i Torres hall in El Casalet starting at 5:30 PM. This competition is a key cultural fixture in the Conca de Barberà region, focusing on the art of reciting poetry in the Catalan language.
Participants can compete in two categories: adults (over 17) and youth (12 to 16 years old). Adult contestants must perform the poem Vestal-no by Montse Bosch-Saumell along with a second piece of their choice. The youth category allows for a single free-choice poem.
Prizes for the adult category range from 100 to 300 euros, while youth winners will receive 50-euro awards. Registration is open until April 20, 2026, via the Casal's official contact channels.
