The Vilanova de Prades Town Council has greenlit a project to improve six municipal roads, with a total investment of €216,332.04, including VAT.

This initiative, funded through the Pla Únic d’Obres i Serveis de Catalunya (PUOSC) 2025-2029, aims primarily to enhance safety and ease of transit on the municipality's most deteriorated routes.
The repair and signage project covers roads of varying lengths, from 913 to 6,700 meters. The included routes are Camí dels Segalassos or d’Albarca, Camí de Viern or de Villaescura, Camí de la Cucurulla, Camí de Mas de Martí or de Cornudella, Camí del Mas de Monner, and Camí dels Solans or dels Calaixos de l’Ereldo.
Planned interventions include road surface repairs, paving with fiber-reinforced concrete, construction of riprap walls to stabilize unstable slopes, installation of wooden sleepers on trail sections, and the placement of road and landscape interpretive signage. Machinery such as loaders, excavators, and graders will be used to execute the works on the existing platform.
Additionally, vegetation obstructing the minimum road width will be pruned and cleared. The new concrete pavements will be designed for adequate surface drainage and resistance on steep gradients. The estimated execution period for these works is two months.
