The meeting, held on Wednesday, October 7, allowed the delegation to gain insight into projects and initiatives developed in Cubelles across various municipal areas. Particular interest was shown in policies targeting young people, economic development, the logistics platform project, and relations with the local business community.
The delegation comprised six representatives from the Ukrainian municipalities of Bar, Zhmerynka, and Mohyliv-Podilskyi, including elected officials and municipal technical staff. Representatives from the Barcelona Provincial Council and the Cubelles City Council also participated.
This visit is part of the Support Practices for Ukrainian Municipalities (TIPS4UA) program, which promotes the exchange of knowledge and practices among local administrations.
The day began with an institutional reception at the City Council and continued at the Espai Jove (Youth Space), where the delegation showed particular interest in municipal youth policies, services, and programs offered.
Subsequently, the City Council's work strategies in economic development and its investment prospects were presented.
The program concluded with a visit to the Les Salines industrial estate and companies such as Demanet International, Ecogots, and Nosia. This tour provided an opportunity to learn about various business activities established in Cubelles and to exchange experiences on industrial specialization, internationalization, employment, and the relationship between local administration and businesses.
The event reinforces the commitment to strengthening ties and cooperation between European municipalities, facilitating mutual learning and experience sharing.
