Among the most notable demands are advancing the first service departure to 5:30 AM to facilitate work and academic commutes. They also request doubling subsequent departures to avoid overcrowding and ensure passengers have seats. Furthermore, they are calling for a study to improve weekend connections, considering the necessary mobility for work, personal, and leisure reasons.
The three municipalities advocate for reviving the spirit of cooperation in the Penedès Marítim region to address territorial challenges, especially given population growth that necessitates public infrastructure and services aligned with current realities.
The Mayor of Cubelles, Rosa Fonoll, has reported requesting a new meeting with the General Secretariat for Transport to reiterate the municipality's needs regarding road transport to Barcelona. After one year of operation for line 310 (Calafell, Cunit, Cubelles-Barcelona) and line e.15.3 (Cubelles-Barcelona), Fonoll aims to evaluate the lines' performance and convey user demands.
Key demands include an earlier first bus departure, increased early morning services, and a more direct connection from Cubelles to Barcelona, particularly for the return journey to prevent passengers from other towns from filling the buses. The need for weekend and night services will also be addressed.
