The project "General History of Cubelles. From Prehistory to the 21st Century", by researchers Xavier Martínez, José Manuel Garcia, and Joan Vidal, has been awarded the 2025 Local Research Grant, recognizing their effort to recover and update the municipality's history.

The award, presented by the Grup d’Estudis Cubellencs Amics del Castell (Cubelles Studies Group Friends of the Castle), was announced on October 9th, coinciding with the Heritage Days. The awarded work aims to provide a comprehensive and updated view of Cubelles' evolution, from its prehistoric origins to the present day.
For its creation, the authors have compiled previous studies, historical documentation, and archaeological data, incorporating new sources to delve into less documented aspects. The research places Cubelles' development within the Catalan historical context, addressing everything from its medieval origins to contemporary social and economic transformations.
The research is in an advanced stage, with the authors currently working on reviewing content and selecting graphic material to accompany the text, including photographs, maps, and charts.
