The city of Vilanova i la Geltrú has established itself as a benchmark setting for the audiovisual industry, attracting Hollywood productions and major national series.

Historically known as the Little Havana, the capital of Garraf stands out for its seafront and manor houses. In 2025, the municipality hosted the filming of the thriller Day Drinker, starring Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz.
For a week, the marina and the promenade became the operations center for this film. Additionally, directors Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi chose the city to film key scenes for their acclaimed series La Mesías.
The advertising sector has also left its mark. In 2016, singer Shakira starred in a commercial for Costa Cruceros that transformed Plaça de la Vila into an Italian village under the direction of Jaume de la Iguana.
