Great Success in the Street Physical Education Day with Over 67,000 Students

The Street Physical Education Day (DEFC) saw a massive participation of 67,073 students from 356 educational centers across the country on April 16, with the central event held in Olot.

The day, which reached its peak in the capital of Garrotxa with over a thousand students, served to highlight the importance of physical education as a fundamental tool for comprehensive development and social integration. Seven students from various local schools were in charge of reading the DEFC manifesto, emphasizing the values that this discipline brings to combat sedentarism and obesity, as well as to foster coexistence in society.

A representative from the College of Physical Activity and Sports Professionals of Catalonia (COPLEFC) highlighted the work of sports physical educators, whose involvement has been key to the initiative's success. Likewise, another member of COPLEFC reviewed the trajectory of the DEFC in Catalonia, noting that its objectives have remained intact since the first edition and that the region is a leader in participation at the state level.
