Dmitry Lazarte and The Flying Maluenda's Win Gold at Girona Circus Festival

The Argentine equilibrist and Chilean trapeze artists secured the top awards in an edition with 29,000 spectators.

Argentine equilibrist Dmitry Lazarte and the troupes The Flying Maluenda's and Smuglyanka were awarded the Golden Elephants at the 14th International Circus Festival in Girona.

The Gold Gala, held at the Devesa park, recognized 18-year-old Lazarte for his roller balance skills. The Chilean group The Flying Maluenda's won for their flying trapeze act, while the Russian duo Smuglyanka triumphed in aerial rope.
Silver awards were granted to Troupe Tengri, Duo AnVi, and Duo Love. Bronze trophies went to performers from Brazil, Vietnam, and Russia. The festival featured 75 artists from 16 countries presenting 24 different acts.
The event drew over 29,000 spectators across 14 shows. Other notable winners included Ase Brothers from Ethiopia, who took the Audience Award, and the Argentine clown Moroco, who received the Critics' Award.
