The Vilobí d'Onyar facility experiences its fourth consecutive month of year-on-year declines, despite increased operations and cargo traffic.

Girona-Costa Brava Airport handled 320,926 passengers in July, a 1.9% decrease from the previous year, marking four consecutive months of decline.

Girona-Costa Brava Airport experienced a 1.9% decrease in passenger numbers during July, reaching 320,926 users, compared to 327,075 in the same period last year. This marks the fourth consecutive month of a downward trend in traveler traffic at the Vilobí d'Onyar facility.
Despite the reduction in passengers, air activity has shown sustained growth. In July, 3,553 operations (take-offs and landings) were recorded, a 9% increase from the 3,261 registered the previous year. For the first seven months of the year, the airport has surpassed 17,000 operations, representing a 6.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
Regarding cargo traffic, the airport managed 6.8 tons during the month, a significant increase of 67% compared to the previous year.

The British market continues to be the primary source of passengers, with 99,462 users in July, an 8.7% increase from last year. Germany ranks second with 42,633 passengers, despite a 19.6% year-on-year drop. Conversely, the Polish market has seen notable growth, exceeding 40,000 travelers, a 19% increase compared to July of the previous year.
