The Spanish rap supergroup Hijos de la Ruina, featuring Natos y Waor and Recycled J, has released its fourth self-published work, Hijos de la Ruina vol. 4, fifteen years after their first concert in Moratalaz.

The trio, composed of Gonzalo Cidre (Natos), Fernando Hisado (Waor) and Jorge Escorial (Recycled J), started their career in rap battles and social centers. Their legend began with a first concert at the Silikona venue in Moratalaz, where a thousand people showed up for a capacity of 200, forcing police intervention.
The Hijos de la Ruina project maintains the tradition of releasing a joint album every four years since the initial volume in 2012. Recently, Natos y Waor were the first rap group to fill the Metropolitano stadium with 68,000 attendees on June 7, while Recycled J did the same at the Movistar Arena.

"Rap was very niche, very competitive, very much about tripping people up. And I think I speak for the three of us, but we haven't done that to anyone."

This new album, which placed at number 6 globally on Spotify the weekend of January 16, shows a thematic evolution. While maintaining usual themes of neighborhood identity and excesses, the record reflects greater introspection and nostalgia now that the members are in their thirties. The work remains self-published, as the group values having absolute control over the creative process.
The presentation tour for Hijos de la Ruina vol. 4 will begin on February 27 in Seville, with all tickets sold out, including the two dates at the Movistar Arena in Madrid, scheduled for March 13 and 14.
