The MOT Festival will bring together over thirty authors in Olot from March 19-21 and in Girona from March 26-28 to discuss travel as a literary theme.

This year's theme, I'm leaving. Travel in literature, features Goncourt Prize winner Jean Echenoz and Russian dissident writer Maria Stepànova. The event aims to explore physical journeys, exile, and inner transformations through twelve round tables.

"Literature serves to contradict reality, also by presenting travel as a utopia or a dream."

Eva Vázquez · MOT Festival Curator
Other notable participants include Rosa Maria Calaf, Julio Llamazares, and Eimear McBride. The festival, curated by Eva Vázquez, will also feature local talents such as Irene Pujadas and Jordi Lara, blending international prestige with Catalan literary voices.
