The Local Police of Salt and the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested two individuals with multiple police records in the early hours of April 22, after surveillance cameras detected them stealing tools from a van.

The incident occurred around 2:30 AM on Passeig Marquès de Camps. Surveillance cameras operated by the Local Police of Salt alerted authorities to a potential vehicle break-in, prompting a joint search operation with the Mossos d'Esquadra.
During the search, officers located two men who attempted to hide upon seeing the police presence. Nearby, a drill and an extension cord were found. Subsequently, it was confirmed that a van parked on the same promenade had a broken rear window, matching the location where the cameras had recorded the incident.
The two individuals were arrested as alleged perpetrators of a vehicle break-in. The van's owner confirmed that he had left the vehicle locked and in good condition the previous evening. Authorities successfully recovered the stolen items and returned them to their rightful owner.
The investigation remains open, and the police do not rule out the possibility that the arrested individuals are involved in other similar robberies that have affected the city of Salt in recent weeks, particularly targeting professional vehicles for tool theft.
