The Spanish men's gymnastics team has commenced its participation in the European Championship qualifying phase in Zagreb, Croatia, securing second place in subdivision 1.

The national team accumulated a total of 237.330 points, trailing only Hungary, which achieved 239.328 points. The qualification day will not conclude until late evening, with two more subdivisions yet to compete.
Catalan gymnast Pau Jiménez, aged 22 and from the Salt GC club, delivered a notable performance, competing on four apparatus and ranking among the top three Spanish team members on two of them.
Jiménez scored Spain's highest mark on the floor exercise with 13.700 points and also led the national squad on the rings with 13.400 points. In the other two apparatus he competed in, vault and parallel bars, he achieved 12.366 and 12.033 points respectively.
