The incident was reported around 10:25 PM at number 11 on Ronda de Ferran Puig. The fire affected two rooms of an apartment located on the third floor of the building, causing significant material damage in that area.
The Generalitat Firefighters deployed six units to tackle the emergency. Thanks to their swift intervention, the flames were brought under control and extinguished in just over twenty minutes, preventing them from spreading to other parts of the property.
After extinguishing the fire, personnel proceeded to inspect the remaining apartments and the building's staircase, as well as ventilate the entire property to clear accumulated smoke. The affected apartment was sealed off due to the risk of roof collapse, thus ensuring the safety of residents.
Of the thirteen people affected, all suffered mild symptoms. Four were taken to Josep Trueta Hospital and two to CUAP Güell for more thorough evaluation, while the rest were treated and discharged at the scene. Once negative gas detector readings were confirmed, the Firefighters concluded their service.
