International journalist and correspondent Josep Bosch is exhibiting a hundred historical newspapers from his collection at the Casa de Cultura de Girona until March 28, covering two centuries of major global events.

The exhibition, titled Última hora! History on the Front Page. Facts and Characters of the Last 200 Years, is curated by the writer Miquel Fañanàs and features documents covering the Spanish Civil War and the World Wars, up to recent conflicts in Ukraine and Palestine.

"I have been collecting newspapers for many years; as a correspondent for the EFE agency, I have traveled extensively and enjoyed gathering newspapers, and I have also done journalistic archaeology searching for specific facts."

Bosch's collection exceeds a thousand copies, most of which are protected at the Martín Bodmer Foundation in Geneva. The hundreds of newspapers displayed in Girona include pieces from twenty countries, covering everything from the moon landing to the recent death of figures like Brigitte Bardot.
The exhibition also highlights local history. The oldest copy is the Diario de Gerona from 1809, which documents the French siege of the city. Bosch also included other historical publications from Girona such as La llibertat from Palafrugell or Lo Geronés.
